He spent 6 years as an exterior designer for Chrysler where he created the the 1995 Car of the Year, Chrysler Cirrus and it’s sibling, the Dodge Stratus. You need to understand how hard what you’re trying to do is.
In order to get a job as a professional designer, you need to be in the top 5%
of all the available candidates. You do this by having an amazing portfolio
of amazing projects.
These projects come from the structure provided by a university or college setting.
You need to do many projects to bring your skills up to this level.
You need access to computers and software and clay modeling
materials that you are only going to get access to at college.
Car companies want to see that you went through a program at a top school.
